NOTHING!!! Was my worst experience in my life.
I arrived at midday, and I some clothes in my bed, and use my pashmina like a couvert. Then, I left the hostel.
When I come back at late night, a man slept with my staff. I run to the lobby for help and the hostel did nothing.
This man literally slept with my clothes!
I was super tired and I ask for change my room and the hostel just give me one option for share with other 4 men and me as a ONLY women.
The hostel dont have any any gender approach, not security at all! The men stole my pashmina and 2 underwears (yes sick men), and 1 t shirt.
The hostel did not retourn my money or help me to looking for other hotel...end of the history I was walking at 5am in the downtown alone and tired.

There is much to see in Athens - historic ruins everywhere.
There is much to see in Athens - historic ruins everywhere. Also there is a lot of good shopping. But more than anything else, we enjoyed the atmosphere. It was pretty chill, as well as warm and friendly. I would have loved to stay a few more days to just soak in the city.

The major historic and archeological attractions are truly impressive. I loved the shops, the local food and the welcoming and friendly approach in all retail and hospitality encounters. It's easy to walk to most major attractions and probably best to do this comfortably outside the peak holiday seasons. The metro works well and is good value.

Don't understand why people want to visit this place.
Don't understand why people want to visit this place. Everything is small and expensive, no descent shopping malls. The people drive like beasts on the streets, they would park on top of you if allowed, very little courtesy on the streets for pedestrians.
I drove in Athens and for my surprise I managed well. In Athens is easy to get around I think, prices on merchandise varies drastically so you have to look around before buying anything. It is a small city with ugly and nice, new and old. There some nice streets, squares, buildings and ruins. A lots of parks with trees and public areas. Beautiful streets of stones, all places are very small.
Petros Salon, in Glyfada totally loved, had my hair and make up done. It is a beauty salon worth every penny I mean euro. If you need service I highly recommend this place, beautiful location and very professional and qualified stuff. Here their web: www.petrossalon.gr

Loved the vibrant, historical city.
Loved the vibrant, historical city. I was nervous at first about being in such a large city due to reports of pickpockets etc, but it was fabulous.
We stayed near Monastiraki Square and would do so again, it was so easy to get to from the airport, using the Metro. The location was great and within easy reach of all the attractions.
The shops on Ermou Street, which runs between Monastiraki Square and Syntagma Square, are plentiful and there are an abundance of restaurants and bars which offer very reasonably priced, good quality meals and drinks that suit every taste.
We bought a bus ticket, that was hop on, hop off 72hours, for €25 each (with a litte negotiating) and would highly recommend doing this.
The only negative is that you need to be vigilant with your belongings at all times and use a good cross body bag due to the pickpockets. We didn't have any problems but were careful at all times.
I can't wait to go back to explore some more.

Athens surpassed all our expectations.
Athens surpassed all our expectations. It's a wonderfully vibrant, lively city, with fantastic food (once you've tried the traditional delicacies, go to Jackaroo for the best fast food experience ever), and it manages to keep its character despite being full of tourists. Pretty much all the places we wanted to visit were in close proximity of metro stations, which made getting around very easy and convenient. While the ancient ruins are impressive, do spend a day taking a short trip to the nearby islands - there are ferries and one day cruises available. The traffic is awful though, so be very cautious crossing the streets.

for someone new to the city, the distances are quite big between some attractions, the entries are not always shown on google maps, and public restrooms are hard to find, in a city that you can stay out for long hours.
the public transport is not that user friendly as advertised, you can wait around 20-40 minutes between buses, the same distance could be walked in 40 minutes, so i prefered to walk and see the city than wait for 30 minutes the bus, plus the ride time to a location.
I don't even know where to start. We have been all around Greece in great hotels and accommodation but never, never is such a welcoming place as this one. Starting from freshly smelling towels to a level of cleanness i have not seen in a 5 star hotel. Kitchen is fully equipped, outstanding bathroom, and although apartment is not huge it still benefits of 2 air conditioning units which is just a joy. Balcony offers a million star view while drinking a coffe or a glass of wine. If you get close to that location look no further BOOK IT.
Our last hotel on our two week trip to mainland Greece. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Location to Acropolis cannot be beat, friendly staff who provided us with lunch and dinner options. The rooms were small which can be expected for any hotel in a big city but to our surprise both the beds and pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a view of the acropolis was a great way to end our trip. Both the sunsets and sunrises watched from the rooftop were spectacular.
The room was really great with enough space for whole family. The bed was really similar to what we have in our flat, because we slept well. The furniture was older, but still ok for us. I think this is usual standard in Greece as we were in many Greece's hotels. The location is great, only 5 minutes from Metro station, there are really great restaurant next to hotel in the square opposite to hotel. We had better food in those restaurants like we had in Plaka near Acropolis.
The location was wonderful. Close enough to the main squares and attractions of Athens yet far enough to be removed the rush of the tourists. Picturesque streets, with many restaurant and bar choices nearby.
Property felt safe, clean, and had charm.
Dimitris was a wonderful host and made our first stop in Greece well worth it. He was respectful, provided great recommendations for food and must sees as well as organized travel for us from the airport.
This is our second stay here. First- the bed and pillows are the most comfy anywhere in Greece, (maybe actually ANYWHERE period). We love the boho vibe and eco-conscious nature of the hotel. The laid back common area is light-filled and surrounded by greenery. Breakfast buffet was nice but not the best we’ve had in Greece. The huge honeycomb was a highlight, though!
Easy parking on the street. Nice neighborhood. The staff is always cheerful and helpful.
Beautiful hotel with a rooftop terrace and views of the Acropolis! Clean and comfortable room. As others have stated, the bathroom and shower are very tiny, but we made it work. And they are updated and pretty, and the shower has great pressure. Great location for walking around the city. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We would stay here again and hopefully we'll be back because we love Greece!
This was my first time in Greece and heard about the Art Suites korai through a group of women on a cruise. We booked the hotel and we enjoyed our stay. We had a great time with the staff service and the hotel surroundings. Paired with great drinks and restaurant food we were entertained all night long. Highly recommend this hotel but also most definitely recommend the restaurant of the hotel.
We were very glad to have booked Greece U Around. It’s a great (modern, aesthetically pleasing) apartment, great location, and exceptional value, and the manager and housekeeper are instantly responsive (not that we really needed anything, as the apartment is so well-appointed) – just a text or call away. Next time I’m in Athens, I’ll consider myself fortunate if Greece U Around is available.
This Hotel is simply amazing and worths way more than only 2-stars. Best breakfast that we had in whole Greece on a rooftop with stunning view over the Acropolis. Cosy and spacious and stylish rooms and located in the best neighborhood in Athens (at least in my opinion.) Best restaurants, nice little shops, authentic and no tourist atmosphere and only 1 metro-ride from monastiraki.
A 120 year-old building renovated into a gem of a hotel that breathes the history of the ciry with every fibre. It is situated right in the center of Athens with everything you need in front of your doormat. Sightseeing, culture, shopping, bars, … it’s all right there. The rooms are spacious and especially the bathroom… the best we have ever encountered in all of Greece!
Aris and his team are without doubt the friendliest and most hospitable Hotel operators I have ever met. It felt like home. They greeted us with warmth at all times of the day and were always on hand to share recommendations for Athens and wider around Greece, or to simply chat and enjoy a drink at reception. We met other travellers and enjoyed our stay immeasurably.
Top notch luxury hotel in the area, with very spacious lobby with multiple seating areas, bar and unique rooftop views to the Athens sightings. Great bed, super comfortable and stylish. Food at the great hotel's restaurant was great and abundant. Reasonable prices for autumn so I will highly recommended to my friends who want to visited Greece for vacations.
A warm and friendly, English speaking staff, clean, quiet hotel…excellent location (for going into Athens or traveling on to central & northern Greece.) Walking distance to a nice supermarket, 15 min walk to many restaurants. Very nice patio/porch seating for coffee or cocktails, in a garden space.
Clean room and kind staffs, and good breakfast. When I left the hotel while putting my book somewhere, I knew that later and they tried to find it. However, after leaving Athens, I am still going to another place in Greece. So, I do not know how to retrieve it...Anyway the staffs are so kind.
Claridge Hotel located in the heart of Athens - capital of Greece- is a very convenient place to stay combining near transportation of all kind (METRO, TRAINS, BUSES, TAXI) with comfort rooms in low hotel rates. Shops, restaurants and archaeological places are in a close distance as well.
I loved the team so kind and helpful. Stephany was great and also all the other hotel team members, they made my stay very pleasant the hotel was excellent as well felt like home. I return every year to Greece because of the kindness of its people. God Bless their hearts
This hotel is my go to in Greece as I live on an island and whenever commuting back to NYC I say here always. It's like a huge home converted to a boutique hotel. No daunting reception desks and elevators. The value for price is fantastic.
